Why there is no cable-placement step

The electricity system tracks total generation, total use, stored charge, and capacity for the farm. The separate WireWireA crafted material; farm devices share a power pool rather than manual cable drawing. item appears in crafting recipes; it is not a cable-drawing tool. Once a power producer or consumer is placed, the farm-power UI appears at the upper left.

Troubleshoot a machine that will not run

  1. 01

Confirm the generator is actually active: fuel generators need fuel, solar stops at night, and wind or solar must be outdoors or in a zero-durability building.

  2. 02

Compare the first UI line: generation must cover use, or a battery must have stored charge.

  3. 03

Compare the second line: without a battery, excess generation cannot create useful stored capacity.

  4. 04

If storage is zero and use exceeds generation, pause a consumer or add generation before blaming the machine recipe.
