The five frames

  • Abandoned Drone: free, from a dumpster at the River Valley outpost. It sells for 250 G and carries a Heavy Pistol that cannot be removed, which also means you cannot upgrade its gun.
  • Worn-Out Drone: 100 G. A cheap replacement rather than an upgrade.
  • Mody's Handmade Drone: 1,000 G. The first frame worth buying deliberately.
  • Mody-Style Mechanical Drone: 5,000 G, and it takes all four slot types. The structured reference describes it as half the price of the Doloc Guard Drone and not much weaker—this is the frame most players should stop at.
  • Doloc Guard Drone: 10,000 G, all slots. Buy it if money has stopped being a constraint, not before.

Engines and auxiliary devices

Engines are straightforward: Mody's Handmade Internal Combustion Engine at 500 G, the Mody-Style Mechanical Engine at 2,000 G and the Doloc Guard Propulsor at 5,000 G. There is also a Garbage Internal Combustion Engine for 100 Rubbish at the Waste Exchange, which automatically consumes Rubbish for power—useful precisely because Rubbish is the resource you cannot stop accumulating.

Auxiliary devices at the Drone Store cost materials rather than gold: the Crow Controller, Tactical Capacitor, Burst Core, Shadow Shooter and Limiter Override. Orlando's Treasure Store carries three more with concrete costs—the Gathering Assistant at 30 Laser Core, which lets your bullets cut weeds and break rocks, the Electronic Disruptor at 30 Bionic Mechanical Claw, and the Lighting Lamp at 3,500 G.

While you are at Orlando's, the Welder's Mask is there too: 5 Scrap Iron Frame and 1 Battery. It is not a drone part, but it is what keeps your own health from draining during acid rain, and the routes worth taking a combat drone on are the ones where you cannot afford to be forced home.

Chips: three tiers, one trade

Chips do not get strictly better in a straight line—they get broader. A Basic chip raises one stat, a Medium chip raises two, and an Advanced chip raises one main stat plus two sub-stats. The recipe scales with the metal: copper, then steel, then titanium, alongside one, two or three Combat Chips and five units of the material matching the stat you want. If titanium is still scarce, two Medium chips are usually a better buy than waiting for one Advanced.

What a kitted drone is actually for

A player mining guide treats a fully decked-out drone as a prerequisite for the Wetlands polluted zones, which carry the densest junk and ore in the game and also the most robots. If your drone is not ready, the River Valley outpost route is the enemy-free alternative—less gold oreGold OreA high-value ore refined in a furnace with fuel. and scarce iron, but no fights. That is the practical reason to spend on a frame and launcher at all: it decides which farming route is open to you.

Two launchers we could not name in English

The Chinese wiki lists two further 10,000 G Gun Store options that the English reference does not cover: a tracking launcher and a mining gun. We have not found a confirmed English name for either, so they are described here by function only rather than guessed at. It also lists a Mechanical Broadsword from the Garbage Smelter and a Household Woodworking Chainsaw Kit from Heron's Vending Machine for 20 Coin.
